The Agilent HP 8164A is a multichannel mainframe designed to host all types of 815xx and 816xx plug-in modules by HP Agilent. The 8164A is the mid size mainframe in the 816xA product family and is the only mainframe that can host the 816xxA tunable laser sources (TLS). Suitable modules include DFB Fabry-Perot Attenuators Tunable laser sources optical power meters. On top of the large TLS this Mainframe can host 4 single slot modules. It can be remote controlled by GPIB. We have several TLS modules: 81640A – The HP Agilent 81640A is a Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PM) fibered Tunable Laser (TLS) with built-in wavelength control. It is mode-hop free with continuous output power making it suitable for critical DWDM component testing. The 81640A covers the wavelength range 1510nm to 1640nm. The Agilent HP 81640A has 2 outputs; one being a low SSE and the other a high power output at 4dBm. Many flat connectors are available for this TLS. 81680A – The HP Agilent 81680A is a Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PM) fibered Tunable Laser (TLS) with built-in wavelength control. It is mode-hop free with continuous output power making it suitable for critical DWDM component testing. The 81680A covers the wavelength range 1460nm to 1580nm. The Agilent HP 81680A has 2 outputs; one being a low SSE and the other a high power output at 6dBm. Many angled connectors are available for this TLS.
